VideoVision started building the gomarysville.com video website on February 25. It was online by June 2009, informing displaced Marysville residents of progress in rebuilding their town.
As visitors began retrurning to Marysville, local traders and the Visitor Information Centre were being bombarded with questions about the fire. A photo exhibition was set up to remove that stress. It opened on the 6th of March 2010 while the ski hire was not in use.
The exhibit has been open every day since then and is now the Phoenix Museum inside the Visitor Information Center.
In 2011 schools began visiting the exhibition to study bushfires and bushfire recovery. Due to the limited space inside the Visitor Information Center, the Black Saturday Museum was built for the school children at Crystal Gardens about 2 Kms out of Marysville.
