RACV Marysville Marathon 2016

The 8th RACV Marysville was held on the 6th November 2016, with great weather, the event attracted 630 runners from all over Victoria, this year was a dress up theme, Lachlan Fraser who is the patron of the event chose an Egyptian pharaohs theme.

The first event Ultra Marathon started at 7am after a short safety briefing from Brett Saxon, followed on the hour with the marathon, half marathon, 10km, 4km.

It was the first time in Marysville for many of the runners, at the end of the race they all commented on the beauty of Marysville and Steavenson Falls reserve.

Dr Fraser thanked the SES along with dozens of volunteers who help make this event happen each year.

The local community benefits greatly from this event with busy shops and accommodation.
